Chaidh am buidheann againn, Buidheann Leasachaidh Ionad Hiort, a stèidheachadh aig coinneamh phoblach far an robh àireamh mhath de mhuinntir na sgìre an làthair. BLIH/ the St Kilda Centre Development Group was formally established at a well-attended community meeting which enthusiastically endorsed the project. In 2010 Ionad Hiort Ltd was founded. ‘S e prìomh amas na buidhne againn, an t-ionad ùr a chruthachadh agus ‘s e a’ chiad dhleastanas a tha oirnn conaltradh a thòiseachadh ris na prìomh compàirtichearan, UNESCO, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Iomairt nan Eilean, Urras Nàdair Alba, Pròiseact nan Ealan agus eile, gus comataidh-stiùiridh a stèidheachadh a dhealbhas Urras neo Bunait a chruthaicheas ionad turasachd airson Hiort aig ìre na cruinne. Our main aim is to establish the new St Kilda Centre as a major visitor attraction for the Western Isles, and our first task is to engage with all the lead partners, UNESCO, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Iomairt nan Eilean, the National Trust for Scotland, and Proiseact nan Ealan to deliver a world-class visitor centre.
