This jacket is on display in the Heritage Centre once belonged to one of the Horwood ladies of Scar. The Horwoods owned the Westove Estate from the 1870’s until it was sold off in 1919.

This seed fiddle which has been loaned to us was probably used in the 1950’s. It was so named after the fiddle- like action required to distribute the seed.

The Appiehouse Stone is a Pictish slab found under the floor during renovation of a local Sanday house in2011. After the stone was sent south for conservation it was returned to Orkney and is now on loan to us.
